We bring good news for nature and jaguar lovers: Uacari Lodge promotes a unique experience in the heart of the Amazon, in Mamiraua Reserve, which has the highest densities of jaguars in the world! A small and privileged group of tourists will have the chance to join the Jaguar Expedition, only four visitors per trip, in the company of the researchers. This is the opportunity to take part in a scientific expedition, which aims to find a jaguar, the third-largest feline in the world.

Also, it is important to know that the revenue generated here is reverted to the maintenance of their structure and for the welfare of the local communities. It helps with the conservation of the jaguar species and with environmental education.

It is curious how the environment influences the way of life in this region, not only of the people but also of the animals. From April to July, the period of flooding occurs, with over one million hectares flooded. Thus, jaguars developed the ability to live in the treetops during this time, sleeping, feeding, breeding and raising their cubs up to 15 meters high. To observe this behavior during the expedition is one of the goals!
