Oktoberfest Dates and Opening Hours
Oktoberfest in Brazil normally runs from the whole month of October.
The party, which has been happening in Brazil for 20 years, takes place in 3 pavillions inside Vila Germânica, with parades, street bands, folk groups dance performances, special German cuisine and a beauty contest where a Queen and two Princesses are chosen. Not to mention the choppe em metro competition. This is a competition to see who is able to drink 1.10 yeards (600ml) of draught beer (choppe) in the least amount of time, without drooling.
The pavilions open at 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday and from 11:00 AM on weekends. They stay open until late.
There are parties and bands also spread around the city center.
How the Blumenau Oktoberfest Works
There is usually a long queue at the entrance, but you can buy the tickets in advance. Prices on weekends are higher.
If you wear typical German clothing, you will not have to pay to get in.
You may choose to buy the mug (caneco) and you may get refills from an old adapted car that moves around the pavilions.
Duck burgers or crispy duck legs with chips, onion and apple pure are examples of the typical dishes served.
The Kinderplatz stadium is a good option for children under 13 years old to play with giant puppets and also practice a variety of sports.
We can arrange tickets, transfers and give expert advice on how to enjoy the Brazilian Oktoberfest.
